Fresh off his whirlwind world stadium tour that made history by making him the first African artist to headline a stadium show in the USA, Burna Boy is set to bring his show-stopping talent back to South Africa. Save the date for Saturday, 23rd September! Burna Boy also made history earlier this month as the first African artist to sell out a stadium in the US. He sold out New York City's Citi Field on 8 July, which has 41 800 seats. In 2022, he was also the first Nigerian artist to headline Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Nigerian singer and songwriter, who won a Grammy award, will continue his tour in Johannesburg, South Africa. The much anticipated event will be hosted at the FNB Stadium on 23rd September 2023.
Last year, the hit maker of “Last, Last” created a stir in South Africa when he headlined the Delicious Festival. Where he received a rousing fanfare. Fans and supporters of this African megastar can once again expect to be captivated by his many hits, including; “Ye,” “Bank On It,” and “Anybody.” These hits are from acclaimed albums such as “Love, Damini” (2022), “African Giant” (2019), and “Twice as Tall” (2020), among others.

Moroever, this acheivement comes after being awarded the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic plaque for his musical achievements. Earlier this year, Rolling Stone ranked him at number 197 on its list of the 200 greatest singers of all time. Burna Boy, a multi-award-winning artist, has taken the world by storm with his music.
Describing his music as Afro-fusion, blending genres such as R&B, hip hop, dancehall, and reggae, Burna Boy continues to use his creativity to introduce new sounds. His most recent song, “Sitting on top of the World,” infuses the Darkchild and Brandy hit with his Afro fusion. The song instantly becoming a refreshing hit.
